Making a big tower made out of shapes

 From today on Monday me and my friend Rory made a big tower out of shapes that took all day. For me and Rory to show our happiness and creation we made a little video. Here it is:

We were super happy. We did have some muck ups and some of it did fall. But in thee end it was finally finished. They types of stuff we used were octagon square and triangle. This is my first blog I have done in ages so I posted this. Some of the build we both did on our own but when for me and him got to the hard bits we did teamwork to make things balance and not fall. If we made 2 mistakes everything could get knocked down. Some cheeky kids would pretend to knock it down. In the end we knock it down because kids kinda broke a little bit of it. Here is a video of me and Rory breaking it:

Activity One - Kick Start

Cross country at Kumara and at the East coast

 This year on the 16 of May the seniors went to the Kumara Racecourse.

We were there for the whole day. You have to get into the top 5 to make it into the West Coast Cross Country. Paige, Johanna, Rylee and I made into West Coast Cross Country Paige came 4th, Johanna came 1st, I came 1st as well and Rylee came 3rd.Then the next week on the 23 of May Paige Rylee, Johanna and I went to the West Coast Cross Country at same place we were on the 16th. On that day I came 2nd, Johanna came 2nd as well, Rylee came 22nd and Paige came 15th. That meant Johanna and I went to Canterbury Cross Country. I had to vs 125 kids. Where it took place was in Christchurch at Halsworth Quarry. Johanna had to vs 185 kids. I came 55th out of 125 kids. Johanna came 44th out of 185 kids. After that before we left we watched a friend race then we went in the car and drove home. Canterbury Cross Country was fun. I really enjoyed it.

What I did whit Miss Mineham

 Two weeks ago Mrs Mineham came to teach us about media. We had to go on cybersmart. Then we had to click on this link then there were some slide shows. If you were are a year 4 you would have to go on  Kākano. If you were a year 5-6 you will have to go on Te Rito. If you were a year 7-8 you will have to go on Puāwai. You click on it and you will have to do hard activities. When you completed them you could have free time on chromebook or go on our learning sites. Everyone’s slide show was different.

My first quality blog post

I’ve been learning about what is a quality blog post. Mr.F said to do part of the class work. This was 100% hard for me because there were quite a lot of things to remember. What do you think makes a blog post engaging.
